Mount Yamnuska is a very fun, fast mountain. It is right in the way of the warm Chinook winds so often it is one of the first summits to be clear of snow. The back side of the mountain is an interesting scramble with a difficult down climb just before the summit. This down climb has been made significantly easier thanks to the installation of a chain.

This peak can be very busy, increasing the likelihood of a rock fall event. I would strongly suggest either doing this one early in the day or later in the afternoon to avoid the hordes. Be aware that there is often black bears in the area.
