This is a small and insignificant peak that can be done along with Ha Ling peak as the easiest two peak day you can do.
Originally I was planning on bagging a peak like Burstall but with snow and rain threatening and fresh snow and ice on Burstall's scramble route I had to change my objective for the day. After wandering around Spray Valley taking photos of the dramatic weather I ended up scrambling up Miner's Peak and Ha Ling for exercise.
Since I'm a peakbagger at heart I couldn't resist claiming this very small accomplishment on my summit log! Hey - I take the hard and long days so I'll take the short and easy ones too.
Going up the trail to Ha Ling you can spot the three miners straight ahead. Miner's Peak is just to climber's left of the three miners.
Looking back at the route up to Ha Ling's summit as I cut over to Miner's Peak. EEOR in the background.
Going up to the miners.
Another look back at Ha Ling from the traverse up to Miner's Peak.
A view of the Bow Corridor looking east from the summit of Miner's Peak.
Vern on the summit of Miner's Peak looking west towards Ha Ling. You can see that it's just as high as Ha Ling and the weather really sucked this day which is the only reason I did this peak in the first place!
The trails up to the summit of Ha Ling are far more often travelled than the trail up to Miner's Peak.
Looking back at Miner's Peak from the summit of Ha Ling as the weather continues to suck. But it gave dramatic photos at least!
