Interesting Facts: 
Named in 1883. A preliminary CPR survey of the Bow Valley recommended that a tunnel be built through the mountain for the railway. Later it was realized that it would be much easier just to go around the north side of the mountain instead of through it. Official name. Other names The Hill. (from peakfinder.com)

Trip Report

A very easy ascent on a (very popular!) hiking trail from Tunnel Mountain Drive in the town of Banff. Great views from the top and well worth it if you're in the area and don't have time for something bigger.

Can easily be done with kids, dogs etc.
