Nugara Scramble

Molar Mountain

There are some mountains that really stir my gut when I think about doing them. For some reason Molar Mountain has been one such peak ever since I first saw a trip report and the corresponding stunning photographs from Andrew Nugara back in 2007. Without a doubt this is a top favorite scramble for me and worth every ounce of suffering that it's summit might entail.

Old Baldy Mountain (GR356417, McDougall NW2)

On my last week off in the first week of October I decided to try a scramble in the fresh snow that the front ranges got. I don't have a lot of Kananaskis front range peaks left to do so I looked in Andrew's book for ideas. I settled on the last part of the "big traverse" that I had left - Old Baldy Mountain (GR356417 or McDougall NW2) and Mount McDougall.
